Held in September, the seventh pv magazine Quality Roundtable made its debut in India at the Renewable Energy India Expo. The discussion raised a series of pertinent points relevant to India’s soaring solar market, particularly concerning the need to place quality ahead of cost. A range of experts from right across the solar value chain shared their views and aired their solutions to an enrapt audience in Greater Noida, near Delhi, India, in late September. NEXTracker’s Sanjeev Kumar, VP of Operations, India, spoke on the panel and explained how the company has trained 200 local installers in India to high company standards.
Kumar said, “Every process and every component is critical to quality parameters. These are all monitored using various statistical tools, which based on their significance and based on their impact on the overall execution cycle will be monitored rigorously and will give us a high quality and reliable product for the long term.”
